Wildlife Tourism in India :
Sariska declared as Wild life sanctuary
and tiger reserve in 1955 covers an area of about
800 sq. kms. of Aravali is the one of the exciting
sanctuary. Just 3 hours drive from Delhi and 37
Km from Alwar covers mostly the hilly area with
Kankwari and Kiraska plateaus. The wide valley
of Sariska starts from Baran Tal gate and ends
before Thana Gazi. In addition to the Tiger, one
can see the Tiger of the Sanctuary i.e. Kankawari
Leopard. The best way to see the animals other
than watching points is to drive along the road
from Sariska to Pandupole. In the evening as dusk
creeps, the large herds of Samber move down from
hills to drink. Beside the deer, this is perhaps
the only sanctuary in the country where Albine
Neelgai has been reported . More rare but occasionally
seen are the Chowsingha, or the four horned antelope.
Among the lesser cats found in the subcontinent
the lithe, graceful and handsome caracal is perhaps
rarely ever seen.
